Hello, I’m Christopher.
I’m a graphic designer based in NY, dedicated to exploring diverse design experiments and creative endeavors.
I believe that design should be both practical and sustainable, a conviction I’ve developed through my direct involvement in brand management. Running a coffee brand, Moho, and an independent publishing/bookstore, Shape of Time, has shown me how essential design is in creating tangible and functional value. These real-world experiences have shaped a practical perspective that has become one of my greatest strengths as a designer.
Physical materials like paper, fabric, and print media are integral to my creative process, and I emphasize their thoughtful incorporation into my designs. This has led to collaborations with clients in conceptualizing and designing physical spaces, where graphics come to life in inspiring and tangible ways. I believe that the materialization of design in the physical world offers exciting opportunities to create lasting impact.
As a designer, I have always been inspired by the interplay between trends and timelessness, the new and the familiar. This tension fuels my creativity and guides my approach to design. I find joy in contrast, like contemporary graphic signage juxtaposed against aged buildings, and strive to weave elements of the unexpected into the preservation of tradition. I view design as a way to bridge the past and the present.
